Congressional Recognition presented by U.S. Congressman Jon Fox at International Hypnosis Hall of Fame 'SEALAH' Awards Dinner

On April 4, 1998, in a history-making event for hypnotherapy, U.S. Congressman Jon Fox attended the annual International Hypnosis Hall of Fame 'SEALAH' Awards Dinner held at the Valley Forge Hilton Hotel in Valley Forge, PA. He presented a special Certificate of Congressional Recognition to two officers of the International Hypnosis Hall of Fame Guild Inc.: Robert 'Bert' Freeman (of Michigan), Executive Vice President, and Annette Schreiber (of New Jersey), Vice President. U.S. Congressman Fox praised the International Hypnosis Hall of Fame, recognizing its importance in serving the hypnotherapy profession.

The International Hypnosis Hall of Fame Humanitarian Award was presented to the Honorable Jon D. Fox for his outstanding contributions and dedication to the community. Hon. Jon Fox has been very helpful in raising funds for the Youth Citizenship Awards in Montgomery County, PA. He has focused much of his attentions on helping the elderly in our society. He has truly earned the IHHF Humanitarian Award.

A special citation from Joseph Gladeck, Jr. of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives was presented to Ann Harrington for her outstanding service to the International Hypnosis Hall of Fame. Ann is an employee of the PA Office of Attorney General. She was appointed C.E.O. by the International Hypnosis Hall of Fame Board at their annual board meeting Friday afternoon, April 3, 1998, held in the Presidential Suite at the Valley Forge Hilton, Valley Forge, PA.

The Hall of Fame was founded in 1979 by Penny Dutton Raffa in Blue Bell PA to honor those individuals and organizations for their outstanding accomplishments, contributions, and research within the profession of hypnosis. The awards presented this year went to the following recipients:
Voice of the Year Award Jennifer Jennings, California
Woman of the Year Award Susan Fox, Ohio
Thomas A Raffa Memorial Award William Horton, Indiana
Barton John Dutton Friendship Award Lyn Schlobig, Ohio
